Facebook has quietly launched a significant upgrade to its Pages. These are ‘profiles’ for businesses, sports teams, and other ‘entities’.
Originally restricted to one page, Facebook is rolling out a multi-tabbed format similar to a personal Profile. Currently the new format will only become visible as administrators update their Pages, but shortly all Pages will be migrated to the new format.
This will enable a business to have a much stronger presence on Facebook. And in the near future, updates to a Page such as posts and status updates will be automatically pushed into the news feeds of that Page’s fans.
For a business, this means you will be able to communicate automatically and directly with your network of Facebook Fans.
